In this issue of the Bulletin  Curator of Art Carrie Roy covers Uncommon Perfection: Illustrations by Derek Norman, featuring selections from his donation, and details other recent gifts. Archivist Nancy Janda explores the Rafael Lucas Rodríguez Caballero papers, which will be exhibited this fall. Assistant Director/Principal Data Curator J. Dustin Williams reveals the enhanced and reimagined Biographical Records database as he prepares to relaunch it. Publication and Marketing Manager Scarlett T. Townsend publishes the 20(2) Huntia and issues a call for papers about botanical artist John Tyley to coincide with a 2027 exhibition of his works. She also celebrates a transformative gift to the Institute and an easier way to make monetary donations. Bibliographer/Data Curator Linda White, Assistant Director/Principal Data Curator J. Dustin Williams and Publication and Marketing Manager and Institute Historiographer Scarlett T. Townsend invite visitors to a new lobby display, Bibliographia Huntiana: Visionary project or Institute albatross, as we chart a course through our past and count down to the launch of our future.

About the Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation

The Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation, a research division of Carnegie Mellon University, specializes in the history of botany and all aspects of plant science and serves the international scientific community through research and documentation. To this end, the Institute acquires and maintains authoritative collections of books, plant images, manuscripts, portraits and data files, and provides publications and other modes of information service. The Institute meets the reference needs of botanists, biologists, historians, conservationists, librarians, bibliographers and the public at large, especially those concerned with any aspect of the North American flora.
