Past Exhibitions
When the Hunt Botanical Library (now the Hunt Institute) first opened in October 1961, samples of works in Rachel Hunt's collection were informally hung in the conference room (now the gallery) through 16 March 1963. Exhibition of Redoutéana, which included paintings, letters, documents and books illustrated by Pierre-Joseph Redouté (1759–1840), was the first exhibit formally opened to the public on 21 April 1963. From that point a regular exhibition program was implemented with displays of artwork from our collection or on loan from others.
